Spring Cleaning

Today was the day to clean out the scrapbooking cupboard. I have found lots of fun stuff while purging. I found some certificates that need to be put in each of the childrens books. I have found awards and letters and cards that will find a home in each childs binder. One letter I came across was a letter from my oldest son to his mom (me). It was a mothers day letter. He wrote it when he was in grade 2 or 3 and he is in grade 9. Here is his letter...........

Dear Mom,
I'd just like to take some time to tell you what I'm thankful for. I am so thankful for all the love you give me when I'm sick or hurt and that it makes me feel like I'm a lot better. Taking care of us is very important to me and that it makes me feel safe when your watching us. I'm very thankful for all the food you buy and that it makes me feel good that I'm not living on bug's but healthy food. I'm so thankful for the clothes you buy for us and that it makes me feel good that I have something warm to wear when I go outside.

Now I'd like to thank you for the little stuff. I'm thankful that you let me sleep with you or else I might have another bad dream. I'm very thankful that you let me go the school or else I might have not met all of the great friends in my class. I am thakful that you help us get ready for when we go on a trip or we might not get to leave early enough. I am very thankful that you give me a kiss and a hug goodnight and that it makes me feel very comforted.

Well I'd just like to wish you a very great Mothers Day. I love you very much.
