What would I be without you?
If you never stormed into my life;
What kind of man would I be,
If you had not become my wife?
What adventure would I have?
Would my life borningly pass away?
Would one day just blend with the next?
Without your wild and zany ways.
What incredible stories would I have?
What amazing tales could I share?
Would there be any excitement for me,
If I didn't have you right there?
Whose laugh brings so much joy?
Whose love makes me strong?
Whose charity teaches me?
Whose essence is in my song?
Who lets my heart roam free,
To dream dreams of a higher place?
who lets my mind run free
Without limit to time and space?
Who taught me about giving?
About the true meaning of love,
About faith when times are tough,
To trust or Father up above?
Whose beauty and appearance,
makes my hear skip a beat?
Where every kiss is like the first one,
causing this boys knees to go weak.....
Who can brighten up an area,
Just by walking in the room?
Like a million perfect roses,
Reaching heaven in full bloom.
So where would I be without you?
What would my life's picture portray?
Would there be anything memorable
Had you not come my way?
You are the air that I breathe,
my joy, my heart, my adventure,
the beat of my heart, my love song,
of a love unshaken and pure.
Without you, I am incomplete,
a man without love in his heart.
With you, I can be everything,
I love you with all my heart!

Spring Cleaning
Today was the day to clean out the scrapbooking cupboard. I have found lots of fun stuff while purging. I found some certificates that need to be put in each of the childrens books. I have found awards and letters and cards that will find a home in each childs binder. One letter I came across was a letter from my oldest son to his mom (me). It was a mothers day letter. He wrote it when he was in grade 2 or 3 and he is in grade 9. Here is his letter...........
Dear Mom,
I'd just like to take some time to tell you what I'm thankful for. I am so thankful for all the love you give me when I'm sick or hurt and that it makes me feel like I'm a lot better. Taking care of us is very important to me and that it makes me feel safe when your watching us. I'm very thankful for all the food you buy and that it makes me feel good that I'm not living on bug's but healthy food. I'm so thankful for the clothes you buy for us and that it makes me feel good that I have something warm to wear when I go outside.
Now I'd like to thank you for the little stuff. I'm thankful that you let me sleep with you or else I might have another bad dream. I'm very thankful that you let me go the school or else I might have not met all of the great friends in my class. I am thakful that you help us get ready for when we go on a trip or we might not get to leave early enough. I am very thankful that you give me a kiss and a hug goodnight and that it makes me feel very comforted.
Well I'd just like to wish you a very great Mothers Day. I love you very much.

Spring Break begins..........
Tis the beginning of Spring Break and all is well on the home front. Today we are catching up on our laundry and cleaning the bathrooms. The children have been a good help and have also enjoyed playing with their toys throughout the day.
I started the day with a long walk in the mountains starting at 7 a.m. It was pretty chilly out there this morning. The temp. was -11c. BRRRRRRR It was a cold one. We survived though and felt great after.
I had a protein smoothie when I returned home and it was very delicious.
